CFCC Foundation
Legacy Society
Purpose
- to foster interest in the college
- to provide special opportunities for gifts and bequests to the college through the Foundation
- to further rapport between the college and the community
- to assure proper recognition to those who help to ensure a bright future for the college
Membership
Membership is open to all alumni and friends of the college, and may include the donor's spouse. The Foundation will award membership to individuals or organizations who fulfill one or more of the following criteria:
- Make an outright gift in cash, securities, equipment, materials or other gifts-in-kind of $10,000 or more.
- Include the CFCC Foundation as a beneficiary in your will or life insurance policy for $10,000 or more.
- Pledge a minimum cash gift of $2,000 for five years.
Membership in the Legacy Society shall continue so long as any one of the above conditions is maintained by the donor and the purposes of the Society are properly served.
Benefits of Membership
Foremost is the satisfaction of joining others in the community to make Central Florida Community College a premier institution of higher learning. Gifts from the Legacy Society will provide the college the margin of excellence to build its secure foundation and to meet this lofty goal.
In addition, members will receive:
- A certificate (framed)
- A special engraved plaque in the Fine Arts Lobby.
- Recognition in the Honor Roll of Donors published in the Foundation's Annual Report.
- An invitation to the Annual Legacy Society Gala Dinner, a formal event to recognize and honor members.
- Invitations to special Foundation events.
- Special campus parking privileges.
- A special card for full CFCC Library access.
Use of Gifts
You may choose any of the following options regarding the disposition of your gift:
- Undesignated - Gifts will support the Foundation's operating budget, (administrative expenses, faculty/staff mini-grants, film series, athletic programs, student Brain Bowl and other academic endeavors).
- Designated - Gifts can be used for whatever purpose you desire, provided such use is acceptable to the Foundation. Gifts may be eligible for two-thirds state match funds.
- Endowment - Gifts can be placed in a special "Endowed Chair" fund, "Scholarship Endowment Fund" or other endowment. You may name the fund in someone's honor or in memory of someone. Funds will be eligible for state match funds.
