"It Runs in the Family"
A comedy by Ray Cooney
Cooney’s 1987 production creates havoc in a hospital days before the Christmas holiday. Esteemed neurologist David Morton is preparing for a lecture that will make or break his career and bring critical funds to the hospital when he surprised by an old flame — and their 18-year-old son — all while the hospital staff prepares for the annual holiday show. The production combines crashing wheelchairs, sharp syringes and squirting seltzer bottles with Cooney’s classic deception, mistaken identities and puns for a show that will keep the audience in stitches.
